Business Case:
Our businesses often want reports delivered in Excel format. In addition, they may ask for more advanced capabilities than a simple data extraction. We will see that we can say "Yes!" to these requests. Part I uses the CGIDEV2 tool create these modern, highly-functional spreadsheets. Part II discusses other ways to create Excel spreadsheets from IBM i data. We will cover several options at a high level, including interactive tools as well as programming techniques. More specifically, topics will include use of Access Client Solutions, other pre-made tools, and programming libraries for Java, Node.js, and Python.
