Keynote: Healthier Teams are Higher Performing Teams - Always

As the smart folks at McKinsey state, "Healthy companies, we know, dramatically outperform their peers. The proof is strong—the top quartile of publicly traded companies in McKinsey’s Organizational Health Index (OHI) delivers roughly three times the returns to shareholders as those in the bottom quartile.”

However - we are living in strange times. What used to work, pre-pandemic, in measuring and promoting healthy team dynamics may not work now. Why? First, just taking our old approaches to team meetings, communication, planning, setting and measuring goals, etc., and just “moving them into a Zoom meeting" is often a catastrophic failure. Second, far too many organizations are mostly in reactionary mode related to emerging business models, changes in stakeholder behaviors, funding options, etc. and are operating in survival mode related to HR and organizational development (e.g., training, succession planning, talent management, etc.).

As a result, it’s almost if leaders are “closing their eyes and holding their noses” and hope things are okay. In many cases, they’re erroneously making assumptions that their strategies and tactics are actually working and are not looking beyond their short-term decisions.

What about you? How healthy is your team? How well is it performing?

This keynote is based upon Team Tipton’s “Team Health and Performance Maturity Model” and is designed to make three things possible: 1) Gives you an understanding of the model — it’s assumptions, steps, and results; 2) Provides you details with successful approaches to move from one step to the next; and 3) Helps you prioritize immediate actions related to moving forward.

Again, healthier teams are higher performing teams — learn the process to drive up both the health and performance of YOUR team!
