Nadir Amra has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from the Ohio State University.   He has worked for IBM in Rochester, MN since 1988, starting in the Communications area, where he was an instrumental member of the development teams that introduced the CPI-Communication and socket communication APIs to the AS/400.  In 1994, Nadir was the team leader and lead developer of the QFileSvr.400 integrated file system project.  In 1996, Nadir joined the Internet area where he was the team leader and one of the lead developers of the Net.Data for the AS/400 product. After working on WebSphere Application Server for a few years, Nadir got involved with web services in 2005 by leading the effort to port the web services client library to IBM i.  Then Nadir became the architect and lead developer in implementing an integrated web services server for IBM i that allowed customers to deploy native, non-Java applications as web services.

Nadir is still architect and lead developer for integrated web services support on IBM i. From RESTful APIs based on ILE programs and service programs to APIs based on SQL statements, he and his team continue to enhance the product in order to give customers various options to make their businesses more responsive to changing needs.
